Churchill Gardens Primary Academy is a non-selective community school, and all applications are considered.
We have 30 Reception class places available each year. If the school is oversubscribed, applications are considered against the criteria set out below. After the admission of students with Statements of Special Educational Needs where Churchill Gardens Primary Academy is named on the Statement, the criteria will be applied in this order:
- Looked after children and children who were formerly looked after;
- Specific medical needs, social needs and special needs where the application is supported by written specific professional advice as to why the admission to the school is necessary;
- Siblings of students currently attending the school who will continue to do so on the date of admission;
- Nearest walking distance to the school – children who live the nearest distance from the school.
Applications to Reception class are managed by Westminster City Council, Tri-Borough, which recommends using the online pan-London application process. Applications open at the beginning of September for entry to Reception class the following September. Applications close in mid-January, and you hear the outcome in April. If your application is not successful, you can put your child's name on the waiting list managed by Westminster City Council.
Applications for admission to all other Year groups are made directly to the school. Please contact the school office.
Tours of the school
Parents and carers are warmly encouraged to visit the school before applying for a place. We offer regular tours of the school, which include tours of the classrooms, halls and playgrounds, and provide an opportunity to see the teaching and learning that takes place. Time is set aside for questions and discussion.
Please let the School Office know the date you would like to attend via our email address email@example.com or by phone, as there are limited spaces available per visit.
