The Royal institution Maths Programme
Students from Churchill Gardens Primary Academy were invited to sister secondary school Pimlico Academy to participate in Maths workshops with the Royal Institution, alongside other local primary schools.
Students studied graphs, vectors and arcs to develop their problem-solving skills. The programme, run by the Royal Institution, is designed to engage pupils in Science, Maths and Engineering from a young age.
Pupils learned about the Eulerian theory of transversible graphs, for example, and even had a go at drawing a few of their own. They had fun treading on numbered mats in order to understand this theory visually.
